Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our 1st Shift team. This position is based at our Fayetteville, NC facility. Position Overview: This Manufacturing Technician assembles steel structures, mounts electrical components, wires point to point from schematic diagrams, and completes final assembly for Motor Control Center product testing and shipment to Eaton customers. In this function you will: Work from oral or written instructions from supervision and/or prints, inspection reports, manufacturing information sheets, and standard or near standard wiring diagrams Read shop orders and drawings to determine assembly procedures such as component types and configuration, mounting locations and clearances required Use hand tools and power tools to assemble steel structures, mount electrical components and wire point to point within motor control center products. Handle materials in accordance with established procedures. Maintain quality standards by inspecting and testing finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and codes. Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continued dedication to raising the bar. Exhibit teamwork in all you do, maintaining a positive and team based attitude. Support peers in time of high demand by working hours assigned and overtime as required; also comply with scheduled start/stop times and break periods for the facility. Participate on local teams to improve safety, productivity, and performance. Work at a pace that meets expected productivity goals. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of this location Preferred Qualifications: At least 3 months previous experience in manufacturing environment Ability to read schematic drawings/ blueprints Position Criteria: Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment. Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs. Demonstrated comprehension of wiring diagrams and schematics. Utilize various hand tools to assembly and wire products in a lean environment. Self-driven and able to produce desired results with minimal direction. Able to stand; walk; sit; reach at or above shoulder level; grip; and use hands to handle and feel. Able to frequently lift/carry up to 35 pounds. Able to push/pull up to 35 pounds.
