Job Description

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Create demand cross-functionally by launch and post-launch activities of new vegetable varieties and solutions. Demonstrate value and provide technical recommendations
  • Secure alignment to commercial strategy and influence the strategic direction of the breeding and research programs
  • Implement agronomic trials for product positioning and develop tailored (Variety-Crop protection and Digital combined) solutions under farming conditions with internal and external stakeholders including customers
  • Collect, display and provide all variety technical information for each new product launch
  • Transfer knowledge to internal & external stakeholders on product performances, crop production/management best practices and tailored solutions
  • Embraces digital tools and innovative technologies to offer customer focused solutions
  • Planning, executing and managing field trial programs, focusing the activity on pre-commercial and commercial agronomical trials. To achieve this, you will collaborate with other departments within the vegetable business and, if appropriate, with colleagues from Crop Protection and, when needed, with suppliers as well
  • Provide market and competitors information to marketing and sales
  • Support sales through promotional and tailored solution trials and participation to growers’ meetings or exhibitions

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

  • University degree (Bachelor, Master or equivalent) in agricultural or life science (ideally in the area of horticulture, genetics, plant pathology, entomology or agricultural business) combined with working experience in an agronomic context like product development, agricultural consulting, agricultural production, promotion or research
  • Highly analytical as well as ability to convert data to practical-applied knowledge and solutions for partners and customers in a sales context
  • Self-motivated and assertive with a strong results orientation
  • Ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-based environment 
  • Excellent overall computer skills and understanding of digital tools
  • Stellar communication and interpersonal skills with excellent networking and coaching abilities
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Driving license 'B' category, willingness to travel in the region and ocassionally (inter)nationally

 

The positions are to be filled for the following locations:

  • ideally based in RheinlandPfalz or Hessen or cover RheinlandPfalz/ Hessen/ Bayern
  • ideally in Niedersachsen region to cover Niedersachen/ Nordrhein Westfalen/ Schleswig Holstein
