Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Assist in the procurement and supply operation
  • Work with internal customers to define purchase requirements, evaluation, negotiation and appointment
  • Perform User Acceptance Test (UAT) for procurement module of ERP before launching
  • Assist in the system enhancement projects for procurement module
  • Assist in the preparation of tendering and quotation documents to ensure compliance
  • Monitor supplier performance and prepare reports and analysis
  • Manage purchase categories, and conduct market research to update database of products / suppliers
  • Conduct supplier sourcing and travel to China if required
  • Handle general insurance arrangement and claims
  • Assist some accounting functions (e.g. petty cash, expenses claim, etc) as assigned
  • Perform any projects / duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Purchasing and Supply / Supply Chain Management / Business Administration or equivalent with 3 years’ relevant experience or Diploma with 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Professional qualification in Purchasing and Supply Management (e.g., CIPS, CPM/CPSM/CPSD etc.)
  • Good understanding and experience in corporate governance and compliance
  • Experience in procurement and sourcing for engineering products/services a definite advantage
  • Procurement experience in mainland China an added advantage
  • Experience in SAP Materials Management Module a plus
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua

Note: The incumbent will take up the role in a HKPC’s new R&D centre
