The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) offers over 20 innovative degree programmes that are vocationally oriented and developed with significant industry input. All the programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and most are also accredited by the relevant professional bodies. In 2019/20 AY, twelve programmes are included in the Government’s Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP), which provides subsidies to students varying from $41,000 to $71,700 per year. To assist academic staff in supervising students' projects / fieldworks / site visits / internship visits / laboratory works;

To carry out duties in relation to students and academic administration;

(c)

To mark and grade student assignments;

(d)

To participate in campus projects and functions, including open days, seminars, central admissions and exhibitions where necessary; and

(e)

To answer student’s enquiries and provide academic support to students outside classes.

For the post of Part-time Teaching Assistant I, applicants should have a Master’s degree in science or engineering related discipline; or a recognized degree in science or engineering related discipline with relevant work experience.

For the post of Part-time Teaching Assistant II, applicants should have a recognized degree in science or engineering related discipline, or equivalent level of study.

Preference will be given to those with teaching experience at tertiary level and/or experience in professional practice in the relevant fields. He/she should also have good interpersonal and social skills, and high proficiency in English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
