The External Relations Department of the Corporate Affairs Division is responsible for producing corporate publications in English and Chinese as well as for translation, editorial support, stakeholder relations management and community engagement, including public enquiries and complaints.

Placement interns support the department across all of its functions on a rotational basis. You will translate corporate publications and documents related to the SFC’s law enforcement work from English to Chinese, and vice versa. You will also be assigned to assist with handling public enquiries and complaints against listed companies and unlicensed activities.

Other duties will include providing administrative support, such as posting information on the SFC website, liaising with vendors to provide services to the SFC, maintaining a translation service request system and compiling statistics for management reports. You will be expected to assist at SFC events.

You must be an undergraduate with a high level of proficiency in English and Chinese as well as a keen interest in learning about the securities markets and the administration of public bodies. You should have sound analytical, problem-solving, inter-personal and communications skills and a strong sense of responsibility. An eye for detail and knowledge of PC applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, are core requirements.
