JOB PURPOSE

A fantastic opportunity to join our EMEIA planning team. As Outlet Planning Manager it will be  your responsibility to drive all Outlet activities within Burberry’s global planning organisation. You will embody the Burberry values and contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration.  Within your role you will be expected to drive;

  • Strategic and controlled inventory management balancing inventory liquidation and brand integrity
  • Responsible for updating and managing the Outlet Rolling Open to Buy
  • Ensures a balanced assortment within Stores across Categories, aging and pricing
RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Responsible for the Outlet Rolling Open to Buy, which includes, transfers, drops from freestock and consolidations 
•    Responsible for top line sales target and identify sales opportunities and risks through effective strategic planning and execution in line with overall annual sales/inventory strategy
•    Responsible for discount rates aligned to central strategies on pricing and mixes within stores across aging
•    Responsible for the tracking and forecasting of aged inventory, ensuring limited need for provisioning
•    Responsible for the buy of Made for Outlet / Raw Material Utilisation
•    Fully align, partner and collaborate with the Merchandising, Allocation, Visual Merchandising, Regional Finance and the Central Planning team in relation to delist timing, cooling off period, overmakes assortment and assortment balance
•    Develop seasonal inventory liquidation strategies, including markdowns and promotions
•    Collaborate with other regional outlet planners regarding stock availability shortages globally 
•    Identify sales opportunities/risks through effective strategic planning and execution that achieve corporate financial goals (sales, margin, turns) 
•    Responsible for managing discount rates involve headquarters on pricing and mixes within stores across aging
•    Responsible for ensuring that Raw Material Utilisation targets are met
•    Responsible for managing the release and protection of cooling off product
•    Responsible for NSS process, including ensuring legal compliance
•    Responsible for analyses and reporting of the business at both a channel and divisional level to provide a consolidated and consistent view of regional performance 
 

PERSONAL PROFILE
  • Demonstrated experience in a regional outlet planning/ merchandising role
  • Demonstrated experience across all activities of commercial planning/ merchandising, including Open to Buy, forecasting and regional outlet inventory management
  • Customer-oriented approach to problem solving
  • Well developed communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Experience with SAP would be advantageous
