Job Description
Eaton’s Electrical Power Systems Division is currently seeking a Printed Circuit Board Technician to join our first shift team. This position is based at our Richmond, VA facility. Position Overview: The PCB Technician is responsible for working with the Logistics Supervisor and other employees to maintain a clear work area, track board inventory and assist all departments. Ensures that proper components are functional, set up properly and issued for jobs. Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. In this function you will: Receive & count all Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) Place PCBs in correct locations and file the appropriate paperwork Ensure PCB inventory accuracy by making necessary inventory transactions in the system to and from proper locations Provide production with the necessary PCBs needed for each job Provide Service Department with spare parts or replacement boards Troubleshoot bad PCBs Program & test all PCBs Test software and approve new versions of same Keep the Board Room clean and organized Comply with Company health, safety and environmental policies When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Preferred Qualifications: Minimum Associates degree in electronics (2-year degree) or related discipline from an accredited institution Certificate in an electronics or electrical related field from an accredited institution Previous military experience in an electronics or electrical related field Knowledge of electronics, circuit boards, soldering experience, and organization skills Position Criteria: Physical count of inventory needed to manage materials Must be able to manage inventory by computer access Deal with a complex boards and software to properly complete an order Ability to follow directions and work independently and in a team Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-50 pounds We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
