Product Associate / Specialist (m/f/d) in S/4 Product Management – Discrete Industries and Core Logistics

About the team

The S/4 Product Management Discrete and Produce team is responsible for the inbound and outbound product management of the Discrete Industries and Core Logistics portfolio. We are a global team with colleagues based in US, Europe and India.

We are now ramping up a team in China.

One of our current priorities is to accelerate the development and market adoption of the S/4 HANA Cloud product. We therefore currently have a strong focus on our end-to-end scenarios, such as Produce and Sell Standard Products (PSSP), Lot Size One, Engineer-to-Order and Supply-to-Line.

In addition, we are passionate about enhancing our industry portfolio to support the latest trends and adopt the newest technologies.
 

The Role

As a Product Associate / Specialist (m/f/d) you will be responsible for the definition of the end-to-end scenarios in the Discrete Industries and Produce area. You will be responsible for the definition of new requirements, building the scenario in our reference landscape, identifying whitespaces for partners, and testing the scenario. You will need to collaborate with many teams within the SAP organization and beyond.

In addition, you will be responsible for evangelising the scenario across multiple internal and external channels as well as gathering customer feedback, assisting proof of concept engagements and delivering market knowledge back into the engineering teams. 

As a Product Associate / Specialist (m/f/d) you will also directly support our leading DI and Core Logistics customers on their journeys to S/4 HANA and feed their requirements back into the development organization.

Role Requirements

The successful candidate should fulfil the following requirements:

• Definition of next-generation cloud solutions in Discrete Industries & Core Logistics
• Subject matter expertise in the logistics, broad knowledge of sales, service, procurement, and finance
• Practical experience in software development and lean methodologies
• Exposure to Discrete Industries customers and business processes
• Strong communications skills
• Networking skills  
• Strong academic background. Masters degree preferred
• Excellent in written and oral communication in English (German is a plus)  
• Attention to detail and quality

There is no relocation budget available for this position.

Work Experience

• 0 - 2+ years professional work experience in discrete industries
• 0 - 2+ years of professional experience in project teams and proven track record in product management, development, consulting, solution management or similar function
• Proven success in projects with customer exposure
