Product Engineering Engineer

About Our Group

The team of product engineering works for qualification management including Head, Media, and other components design/process change, supply strategy, DFC, etc. We supported to Product team / FPT to make the correct decision for product improvement in Wuxi factory continuously.

This team provides engineering recommendations, guidance for kinds of component /product issues to ensure business successfully.

About the Role – You will:

• Work with drive team (FPT / RPT / OQA)on FMEA review and define drive qual plan when component change is requested
• Track qualification status, performance and provide engineering recommendations
• An owner for Head / Media component data monitor and Excursion / Trigger engineering assessment and recommendation
• Lead the team in assessment of evaluations for new change or materials and provide technical recommendations
• Lead the team in reviewing FA performed for Cert, ODT and ORT failures by other teams
• Be self-motivated with the ability to work in a cross-functional environment and strong communication skills

About You:

• Familiar with basic Hard Disk Drives related technology
• Familiar with product metrics and performance include drive yield, cert, ODT, Reli
• Have process knowledge of drive assembly and testing
• Have strong data analysis ability
• Have decision making and technical leadership skills
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a cross-site / cross-functional team environment
• Be excellent in oral and written English

Your Experience Includes:

• Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Project coordination skills

You May Also Have:

• Decision making and Lead ship skills
• PMP is plus
