This position is primarily responsible for rationalizing overall product portfolio, ensuring a robust product marketing and product development process is in place.

  • Develop strategies and action plans to achieve the products’ business goals as aligned with the overall company directives.
  • Support product development team on new product launches for the different distributions
  • Drives strategies and plans to address existing product portfolio’s profitability and design issues depending on market need or business requirement.
  • Manages the planning and execution of the following areas of product marketing: product concept development and enhancement to address market challenges (profitability, market appeal) and opportunities marketing plan creation and program execution such as but not limited to promotion, distribution, strategic partnerships, agency training and learning series, marketing and sales tools development etc. to drive interest and demand for insurance products portfolio performance review, market and product research, competitive landscaping, and action plans development to ensure competitive advantage product positioning and development of key messages to differentiate the company’s products in the market sales tools and distribution support via events, forums, sales caravans and regular product/market updates to create product buy in, increase distribution awareness, and improve ease of selling
  • Ensures that all product materials are consistent in terms of messaging, positioning, as well as compliant to the Company’s visual standards
  • Ensures that all product information are properly cascaded to customer segments, distribution partners, operations support and other internal stakeholders.
  • Supervises Products group to ensure that deliverables are executed based on agreed quality standards and timeliness.
  • Coaches and trains new staff/employees, and conducts performance review and assessment of direct reports to recommend corresponding action for favorable and unfavorable performance
  • Implements all management policies and enforces the proper administrative action, as    may be necessary.
  • Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by Head of Products in order to meet operational and/or other requirement.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education – Graduate of Marketing, Business Management, Economics or related course
  • Experience – At least 5 years working experience preferably in the field of Product Management or Marketing; exposure to executive and senior management
  • Special skills – Excellent strategic & analytical thinking, Excellent Project Management skills, Excellent marketing skills, creativity, Excellent leadership & interpersonal skills, Excellent presentation and communication skills,  Very good planning & organizational skills, Strong knowledge on insurance products
