Customer Engineering Program Manager - Key leadership role representing a broad set of RTG customer engineering teams into Graphics products lines. Seeking a strong, experienced leader who can work in a matrix environment. Job entails working with corporate product core teams and functional teams to ensure customer requirements are captured, coordinating the hardware/software stack feature deliverables/documentations and managing execution to ensure all of the required engineering items are delivered on time to support launch. Individual should have background in low/mid/high level silicon or board or software development, strong technical capability and strong program management skills.

 

The role also needs to maintain consultancy level support to AMD front end customer support organizations in define/plan/manage customer demand thru AMD standard IPD & SDP process and its associated customer messaging/education governance.

 

The frequent working partners to the role includes (but not limited to) Silicon PM, BU reps (Sales/Marketing)/Board PM and design/Customer Engineering/Software PMO, architects, tech leads and other functional program management peers, across AMD global branches.

 

The job expects 10% travel time domestically or internationally.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

 

  • 5+ years Program Management experience
  • 10+ years direct experience in hardware/software product development, silicon design or PC OEM industries.
  • Keen understanding in x86 architecture, Windows or Linux OS, CPU/Memory/Graphics subsystem working principal
  • Exceptional English and Chinese verbal and written skills is a must
  • Experience working on a product development team
  • Experience managing silicon/hardware/software product requirements
  • People Management experience is a plus
  • PMI/PMP certificate is a plus
