You will find newly-designed, collaborative work spaces to suit a variety of working styles.

As a Project Manager, you will support successful delivery of complex, strategic projects globally across multiple Oncology R&D functions and sites. You are accountable for effectively leading the planning and execution of projects, prioritising your work in alignment with the Oncology R&D strategy, applying structured project management and organisational change tools and processes and actively building standard methodology project management capabilities within Operational Management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Apply structured methodologies and tools to translate project vision and scope into practical and implementable project plans that ensure sustainable, impactful solutions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Drive cross-functional project teams to ensure successful delivery of projects
  • Track and report on the progress of assigned projects to the appropriate governance, partners and senior management.
  • Actively manage and reports project issues and risks, including concerns, as appropriate.
  • With the project sponsor, prepare and present reviews, approvals and project updates to appropriate steering committees, Oncology R&D Leadership Team, and other key stakeholders. Ensure stakeholders are always kept appropriately informed of project status.
  • Establish and leverage best practices for project planning and execution that are fit-for-purpose.
  • Advocate for appropriate project management and execution discipline across Oncology R&D to ensure effective and efficient delivery of defined business results.
  • Drive Oncology R&D objectives and supports the broader community.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, related operations/manufacturing field or business
  • Strong Project Management experience gained over the course of your career
  • Significant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Proven track record of success in delivering strategic, complex, cross-functional and multi-site projects on-time, on-budget and to committed deliverables to generate significant business value
  • Takes appropriate initiative and accountability including proactively prioritizing work in alignment with business requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communications skills
  • Excellent team management skills
  • Experienced in using MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Comfort with ambiguity and fast pace

This role can be based at our Cambridge, UK or Gaithersburg, MD location.
