This position will require working shifts therefore you must be flexible

 

What will you do?     

 

As a QC Technician, you’ll be responsible for carrying out basic lab duties within an ISO accredited laboratory environment including tissues culture testing, virology testing and microbiological analysis. You’ll also be contributing to meeting testing schedules, customer satisfaction, departmental safety and quality objectives.

These functions include, but are not limited to:

 

·       Performing basic lab duties to support the raw material and finished goods release testing according to standard operating procedures in a timely and efficient manner.

·       Microbiological testing and sampling

·       Calibration/daily checks of laboratory equipment

·       Test sample log in

·       General laboratory housekeeping

·       May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned

·       Maintaining thorough and complete product test records per in-house testing procedures and in accordance with ISO 13485 standards

·       Supporting and maintaining Company's Safety, Environmental and Waste Management programme.

 

 

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
 

A degree within biological and/or chemistry science field or similar (or equivalent working experience)

Must be happy to work shifts

Good aseptic techniques required

Strong organizational skills and a commitment to excellence

Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

Desirable

 

Some industry quality control or lab testing experience within biotechnology or similar environment preferred but not essential

 

  

Working Conditions:

 

Works in a laboratory environment. Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials. Will be expected to perform some manual handling. Must be able to work overtime and flexible shifts where required
