Objectives of the Position
•The required Quality Assurance Engineer plays an important role to ensure the supreme quality performance of in-house production according to customer requirements and product/process specifications. As the responsible function for the Quality Assurance, the Engineer is supposed to develop the quality plan as well as boundary sample catalog based on experience in automotive & powertrain industry. In addition, the engineer will support the activities in production quality control and continues improvement for MBPM with Mercedes-Benz technical requirements and procedure.
Task description
• Incoming Quality
- Develop In-coming inspection plan and relevant inspection content according to GB2828 and Daimler given standards.
- Develop In-coming parts boundary sample catalog according to industry experience and Daimler given standards.
- Deliver technical training to warehouse operators and technical support during parts incoming inspection process.
- Support material review board together with production /manufacturing engineer, Warehouse supervisor for final technical decision of in-coming parts.
- Handle Vendor claim for Non-conformity parts and coordinate deviation process.
• Process Quality
- Develop production quality inspection plan, handle relevant quality planning tasks during process development and try out phase.
- Conduct production quality inspection and make decision on WIP Non-conformity parts.
- Conduct SPC/Cpk management and analysis process quality performance.
- Perform MSA process and release the gage before SOP and on regular basis.
- Support production to define the countermeasures for continues improvement.
• Non-conformity Coordination
- Develop finish goods Non-conformity process according to Daimler standards.
- Develop finish goods boundary sample catalog according to industry experience and Daimler given standards.
- Collect information and trigger the analysis of finish goods Failure/Non-conformity from Field, Customer complain, EOL testing or Product audit.
- Coordinate root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation.
- Coordinate deviation process to support finish goods Non-conformity parts disposition.
Qualification required
• Education
- Bachelor degree; Diploma in Automotive, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
- 1-2 years quality related work experience in power-train parts machining industry or equivalent, experience in automotive industry is of advantage.
- Experience in power-train products manufacturing, experience in re-manufacturing is of advantage.
- Experience of machining processes is of advantage, such as milling, grinding and polished micrograph.
• Specific knowledge
- Good team work spirit.
- Persuasive and able to communicate in a structured and logical way.
- Professional knowledge of root cause analysis and problem solving with A3, 8D as continues improvement methodology.
- Good knowledge in quality management system ISO 9001:2015.
- Product knowledge about engine, transmission, electrical parts, product knowledge about high voltage battery is of advantage.
- Excellent spoken and written in Chinese and English, German is of advantage.
