In this role, you have the opportunity to
Support our R&D staff in the area of technical applications Our R&D Engineers will rely on you to provide and support them with R&D application software so they can focus on developing innovative new products and services for our customers.
You are responsible for
Supporting the user community on application and system management for applications such as Matlab, Ansys, Mentor Graphics, PTC Creo and Siemens NX
Working with the user community to adopt new features, enable new use cases and help resolve any issues
Monitoring the health of the environment and take proactive steps to ensure reliable availability and performance
Managing patches and updates for the applications and related hosting environment including the operating system
Working with and manage escalations to the supplier to ensure proper operation and performance of of the tooling environment
Application Life Cycle management
You are a part of
A dedicated and driven team. You will be working at the High Tech Campus in a team with 9 others on the support of a variety of complex technical applications used by our researchers and developers in Eindhoven and Drachten to create innovative new products for Philips. Once a quarter you will support the Drachten based researchers and developers onsite for a day.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
At least 3 years experience as an Application Support Engineer/System Administrator
An applied sciences or vocational degree in Information Systems, ICT or related
Excellent communication skills in English , both in word as well as in writing. Good active listening skills
Strong analytical skills
Experience with the support of R&D applications such as Matlab, Ansys, Mentor Graphics, PTC Creo and Siemens NX.
Licensing and system administration support experience
Experience with automation
