You will become a part of ABB Robotics in Shanghai. We develop, manufacture and market robots with controllers, software’s and application products. The R&D center in Shanghai needs to strengthen the mechanical design team for developing the future robots.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible to work in projects with designing advanced robotic system application including robot, process module or line.
  • In ABB Robotics R&D center in Shanghai we are working in a creative environment. Together with other engineers you will be doing user interface design, robot programming, and drivers.
  • You will be responsible to design of the robot program, drive of applications, and user interface. Together with your colleagues, you will also be focused on that our solutions have a secured quality and are cost effective.
  • As a software engineer you will cooperate closely with electric engineers, production engineers, mechanical engineers and suppliers in ABB Robotics.
  • Communicating with internal clients (business units) in order to prepare detailed specification of solution for given business requirement.
  • Developing independently or participate in projects to achieve business goal.
  • Developing simulation in Robot Studio. Simulate interior painting booth and robot motion.
  • Collaborating with team to learn about products, plan for the projects and working with project managers and engineers to improve the usability of interface.
  • Troubleshoot help systems as they are integrated into products and to work on research for new solutions to improve existing processes

Your background

  • Should have a bachelors or a master's degree in computer science, software engineering, automation, or related.
  • Should have good understanding of robot applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
  • Should have strong interest in and comfortable with technology subject matter.
  • Good team player
  • Strong English communication skills.
