We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a R&D Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic R&D team in the development of our scientific instrumentation in Craven Arms, Shropshire.

Working as the R&D Mechanical Design Engineer you will join the Company's Development Team, where you will have a great opportunity to work on high-level, innovative and state-of-the-art scientific instrumentation.

You will be a crucial member of the Research & Development Team pioneering products from concept to completion.

You will have the opportunity to participate in the complete product development lifecycle (design, development and verification).

The role as the mechanical Design Engineer will include the following:

  • Design, development of hardware to support existing as well has new scientific instrumentation.
  • Produce 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD (Solidworks and Siemens NX)
  • Translating customer needs into design requirements
  • Use design theory, aided by design software, to produce suitable solution
  • Produce detailed component drawings and accompanying documentation for manufacture.
  • Create and work with small teams to produce DFMEA's for new products.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments
