The R&D Scientist will provide leadership and expertise in programs to develop immunohistochemistry (IHC), fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), and other assays (e.g., PCR) in the field of Companion Diagnostics. They will work closely with cross-functional project teams, line management, and external partners. The R&D Scientist will facilitate transfer of completed development projects into commercial products. They will write and review product instructions for use, protocols, and technical reports. They will generate documentation in compliance with Quality Systems and Good Laboratory Practices. They will: create and optimize test methods for antibodies and other reagents; maintain laboratory notebooks; provide mentorship for colleagues and support for customers and co-workers with technical problem solving. The R&D Scientist is expected to stay abreast of developments in companion diagnostics and biomedical science and be vigilant for new opportunities for Agilent.
