Job Description:
Advantest is looking for a broadly experienced RF engineering solutions architect to join our semiconductor and commercial electronics test team developing an exciting new test paradigm in Irvine, CA. You will be responsible for the architecting, design, development and application of test circuitry, instruments and test systems for RF semiconductor devices, modules, and integrated RF/digital/analog systems. Participating with a cross-functional team; in addition to developing designs, this position will be involved with understanding and capturing customer's test requirements.
Responsibilities include:
* Leads the design and development of electronic system boards used in complex electronic test systems
* Performs high speed board design and partners with the firmware/SW teams to develop test solutions for customers
* Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
* Serves as technical consultant for disposition, corrective actions and coordination with cross-functional groups to identify/implement solutions and drive strategic improvements.
* Leads the development, maintenance or modification of system components' designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation.
* Supports technical proposal preparation and new business development efforts in co-ordination with the business team and cross functional team
* Trains, coaches and mentors others. Works under minimal/consultative direction.
* Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
* Develops complex statements of work, metrics, and schedules.
