Job Purpose/Overview

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the implementation of the Atlas SAP Outbound process, including transportation and warehouse management, all of subsequent business process changes.  This includes, among other things tendering, load building, carrier management and appointment, warehouse customer service, cuts management, IDOC management, internal delivery notices (IDNs)

This role will be responsible, in conjunction with other team leads, for utilizing site inventory practices to perform necessary cycle counts to ensure physical inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Please list the most important and relevant responsibilities

• In depth knowledge of Warehousing and Transportation Management, with an overall broad business understanding.
• Reconcile on-hand finished goods, commodity and packaging inventories with SAP and Red Prairie inventories.
• Perform back flushes of daily production items and quantities in order to maintain accuracy within SAP.
• Trouble shoot and correct various issues within SAP and Red Prairie; e.g., inventory variances, double transactions, etc.
• Capability to determining functional needs from user descriptions of a business process, developing an appropriate solution and coaching the implementation of that solution through the user group.
• Skill at developing process maps, process instructions, and user-friendly Job Aids
• Experience in lean process methodology to support more efficient business processes
• Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills for providing training to groups or individuals at all levels of the business and achieving a consensus for change among appropriate user groups.
• Excellent organizational skills. A self- motivator; able to work independently and the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Working knowledge/understanding of  Legacy and Warehouse Management Systems
• Information systems reporting and decision support: working knowledge/understanding of Mars supply chain systems e.g. PRMS, Navitrace, WMS (JDA, SPEDE, Marc, etc), GRD, SAP (preferred), etc.

This role interacts with and must influence a broad range of functions within the business including but not limited to Mars IS, Supply (Factories, Customer Supply, Logistics, 3rd party logistics providers (3PL’s), Commercial, and external contractors.  It also has key interactions with all levels of the organization, including Site Management, Functional Experts, Key Users, and End Users. This position leads the planning activities, testing, training, implementation, and nurturing of new business processes associated with the system applications.

Education & Professional Qualifications

• An undergraduate degree, preferably in one of the Engineering, supply chain or business related disciplines.
• Three or more years experience in a process-manufacturing environment.

Knowledge / Experience

• Familiar with Distribution/Logistics Management.
• Familiar with Inventory/Materials Management techniques.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to organize work and manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to influence others not in direct span of control.
• Knowledge of Pipeline systems and procedures.
