Job Description
THE COMPANY :
- European company
- We are a worldwide operating crane machinery service specialist.
- We offer crane and hydraulic related services and parts supply to the Shipping and Construction industry.
- With our global set-up of 14 offices worldwide, we offer field service, provide technical solutions for emergency repairs, large scale overhauls, load testing, inspections, component repairs, spare parts supply as well as supply of new cranes and installation of Electric Overhead Travelling cranes.
- We are looking for SENIOR SERVICE ENGINEER - with details as follows :
THE JOB :
- Work in Service Department to support field service and workshop operation
- To carry out field service attendances for troubleshooting and repairing Mobile Cranes
- To lead assembly/installation of Gantry cranes, Electric Overhead Travelling cranes and electric hoists
- To carry out field service attendances for commissioning and troubleshooting Gantry Cranes, winches, EOT cranes and electric hoists.
- To occasionally carry out field service attendances to troubleshoot & repair marine cranes and port cranes (dockyards, shipyards, etc)
- To write technical report after each service attendance
- Education in Electrical Engineering or Hydraulic Engineering, or related disciplines
- Have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of electric drives, electrohydraulic operated cranes, crane control systems and hydraulic components.
- Able to read and understand electric and hydraulic diagrams
- Able to independently troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical and electrical problem on cranes or hoists
- Able to lead a team of mechanics and carry out larger repair projects as Lead Engineer
- Able to write technical reports and able to communicate with owners and contractors
- Previous employment with one of the main crane manufacturers as service engineer will be an added advantage.
- Driving license holder is prefer
