    Description

    PositionSummary:

    The

    Senior Retail Manager is responsible for maintaining the total operation of

    their assigned store and/or supervise surrounding stores in his/her designated

    region. S/he will also generate sales, perform outstanding customer service and

    maximize profits by controlling expenses.

    The Senior Retail Manager will work in conjunction with the Retail

    Manager to develop doors in his/her specified region and assist the MRO in

    management of MAC locations.

    Responsibilities:

  • CustomerService:
    • Maintain andset an example of excellent internal and external customer service; supportMAC standards.
    • Resolvecustomer issues, in an efficient and quick manner.
    • Utilize andmaintain customer database for phone calls, product launches events andappointments in conjunction with the company’s customer program.
  • Sales:
    • Create andmaintain an atmosphere that is focused on achieving sales and profit goals.
    • Determine andcommunicate individual sales goals and hold staff accountable in accordancewith the company’s business practices.
    • Analyze andreview goal attainment; develop strategies to improve performance.
  • BusinessManagement:
    • Open and develop new markets & MACdoors.
    • Assess counter space requirements vs.ever-changing business needs.
    • Identify andnegotiate the best space and location for MAC within the retail partnersenvironment.
    • Develop andwork within a budget for all regional meetings and staffing.
    • Ensuredocumentation is completed and submitted to finance on a timely basis (expensereports, credit card statements etc.).
    • Establishcontacts with finance, renew store openings.
    • Ensure expensesare within approved budget guidelines (e.g. courier costs, telephone, fax, etc. ).
  • Inventory:
    • Ensure RetailManagers have correct tools and training to manage inventory levels properly.
    • Recommend andmaintain the inventory of display and merchandising materials.
    • Ensure alllocations are effectively maintained (meet expectations and support managementin upholding these standards).

  • Marketing &Events:
    • Plan andschedule all events.
    • Train RetailManager to provide assistance.
    • Attend events
  • HumanResources:
    • Recruit andhire the quality of management and retail staff required to meet MACstandards of excellence.
    • Provideon-going training to empower Retail Managers to run their businessessuccessfully.
    • Develop andmaintain relationships with AT&D to ensure training needs are recognizedand fulfilled.
    • Provide clearconstructive feedback on a regular basis to Retail Managers and retail staffconcerning their job performance.
    • Initiate stronginternal relations to encourage healthy business development.
    • Maintain acohesive, cooperative work environment through team building and motivation.
    • Manage time,establish priorities and delegate effectively to meet goals and objectives.
  • RetailerRelationships:
    • Establish and maintain positiverelationships with Retail Partners and landlords.

    Qualifications

    Education: Minimum high school education, college

    background preferred.

    Job-Related Experience: Previous

    experience in cosmetic field preferred. Specialty

    store

    management background a plus.

    Leadership,

    training,

    public speaking experience needed.

    Job Related Experience: Five

    years retail experience, cosmetic preferred, one-two

    years

    management experience required.

    Analytical/Interpretive Skills: Training

    and coaching new and existing employees.

    Ability

    to council employee conflicts and to function in a

    fast-paced environment. Embrace the company’s corporate philosophy.

    Communication Skills: Excellent

    communication, leadership and organizational skills. Comfortable

    managing and supervising people. Professional attitude and ability to be

    flexible

    and deal with change.

    Effort:

    This

    position requires excellent communication skills to be performed on a daily

    basis. It requires moderate physical

    effort.

    WorkingConditions:

    Retail

    Partnered Stores, Freestanding MAC Stores, travel to and from locations,

    office (home or specified location), some overnight travel.
