As a Sales Support Engineer, you will be part of the Industrial Automation Energy (IAEN) Business Line unit, based in XiAn/BeiJing/ShangHai.
As a Sales Support Engineer, you will be responsible to support sales for effective selling ABB's automation system integration package in industry customer.

Your responsibilities

  • Assisting the Sales for marketing and sales activities for Oil Gas & Chemical projects
  • Working closely with sales to contact and discuss with customer on an efficient basis.
  • Analyzing customer needs for the portfolio, securing customer advantages and benefits as well as white spot analysis and connected strategies to co-operation with sales.
  • Preparing the technical presentation to customer.
  • Market analysis like providing market intelligence analyses in support of identification and development of new markets, segments or solutions.
  • Participating in internal work groups to share know-how, processes and market information.
  • Providing sales support activities to Sales to sell automation package and preparing commercial & technical offer.
  • Technical clarification and cost justification and monitoring supplier’s commercial & technical proposal.
  • Job pre-calculation sheet preparation and risk review document preparation with sales.
  • Preparing the project transfer document to transfer the project to the operation team.Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • Must have Bachelor’s Degree or above, majoring in Automation Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of working Experience in Automation Industry; Working Experience in Multinational Company, Design Institute and Engineering Company is preferred.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and sell the value of ABB solution to the customer.
  • Knowledge of automation system, product and application: SCADA/DCS/SIS/PLC system etc.
  • Familiar with AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio etc.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Good communication ability and team-work will be considered as plus.
  • Availability to travel domestic and overseas.
  • International culture awareness, ability to communicate and collaborate within global team and with international partners.
