Scientist, Research & Development (m/w/d)

Responsibilities:

  • Practical project development towards commercial research products
  • Development and validation of immunological detection methods, for the analysis of biological samples (ELISA, ProcartaPlex)
  • Independent planning and execution of experiments including data analysis and interpretation of results
  • Laboratory maintenance, like instrument calibration, buffer preparation, ordering antibodies or consumables
  • Performance of testing and assays in accordance with approved methods and SOPs
  • Assistance in troubleshooting, investigations and other duties as required
  • Providing training and support for interns (BA or MA students)


Required qualification:

  • B.Sc. in Biology, Biochemistry, or related science
  • Hands-on experience with immunoassays (ELISA, bead-based multiplex assays, PLA or similar)
  • Good understanding of immunology, cell biology and protein analysis techniques.
  • Good problem-solving skills and logical approach to solving scientific problems
  • Interest in improving skills and knowledge in the development of innovative commercial research products
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Possesses analytical thinking skills that are applied to solving a complex scientific problem
  • Works well in a team environment and cooperates with other members of the team to find a solution
  • Proficiency in German and English

Obliged by the Austrian labor law, we are required to state the minimum salary as per the Austrian Collective Bargain Agreement. For this role the minimum remuneration is EUR 28.906,36 gross per year. Depending on the experience we offer an attractive compensation package based on the market-oriented salaries, which is significantly above the stated minimum salary.
