PayPal is looking for a talented Manager to lead our Cybersecurity Operations Engineering team. The Engineering Manager will handle all engineering work for PayPal’s global Cybersecurity Defense Center (CDC), including Threat Detection, Threat Intelligence, and Purple Team Exercises. The manager will focus on driving and executing high priority strategies while leading a team of highly technical engineers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the leadership team to create an agile engineering function within the Cybersecurity Operations function
  • Drive the execution of significant team engagements, including:
    • Alert development
    • Threat intelligence
    • Pen-test\ red team missions
    • Purple team exercises
  • Participate in research and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Play an active role in mentoring team members and help them prioritize day-to-day asks against long-term objectives
  • Create high -quality reports and thought leadership materials
     

Requirements:

  • 10 years of relevant experience in specific domains of information security, such as security architecture, security operations, incident response, threat and vulnerability management.
  • Strong technical experience and familiarity with various techniques of cyber-attacks, MITRE att&ck framework, Purple Team concepts, and threat hunting modeling
  • Deep understanding of tools and processes used in security incident detection and handling, experience developing custom scripts
  • Excellent problem solving, project management, and communication skills
  • "Can-do" attitude and unwavering passion for doing the right thing
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment, with a positive and professional attitude
