Use your architectural experience, product skills, and semantic tech/taxonomy knowledge to help build the next generation of intelligent content CMS. 

Our next generation of intelligent content management tools uses taxonomy, semantic modeling, and graph data to drive content discoverability and user insights. We need an experienced architect and knowledge modeler to join our team. You may be: 

• An experienced semantic technology practitioner who is looking to move into commercial software development. 

• Someone with a technical background and a keen interest in / experience with graph data and taxonomy/ontology tooling who wants to take this area further. 

SDL Tridion Docs provides the services and software which empower global organizations to single-source content, share, reuse and personalize content in various output formats and in multiple languages across global markets. Through efficiency gains, SDL’s customers are able to get information to global markets quicker, drive down the cost of content development and translation, provide more agility for the overall business, and increase customer satisfaction through access to better information. 

This role will play a key part in our future product development. It involves data modeling, but also co-ordination with various development teams and product management to ensure that the growing semantic technology capabilities can serve the entire product line. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Working with other architects to shape the technical future of our content management technology 

• Co-ordinating requirements and development plans around semantic tooling and integrations with other components 

• Mentoring others to work effectively with graph data and standards-based taxonomies 

• Communicating effectively with stakeholders around the organization on technology potential, capabilities, and limitations 

• Product-oriented thinking: a clear understanding of the business value of the overall product offering, and ability to take decisions based on that 

For this role, you need to have: 

• 3+ years architecture and/or product ownership experience 

• Graph-based data modeling experience, for example, using RDF(S) 

• Experience with a graph query language such as SPARQL or Cipher 

• Experience of working with taxonomies (although you do not need to have been an active contributor to the taxonomy yourself) 

• First-hand software development experience 

• Some experience with search technology such as ElasticSearch 

• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively 

• Good verbal and written English skills 

• Agile/Scrum experience in a medium to large organization 

It will help if you have: 

• Some knowledge of SKOS 

• Some natural language processing experience, for example, working with entity recognition or concept extraction/topic modeling 

• Some experience with content management, publishing, or XML-based documents (particularly DITA XML) 

• Some experience with machine learning 

• Some knowledge of an enterprise Web CMS such as SDL Tridion Sites 

• Knowledge of Java or .NET
