Job Description

Provides overall direction for the support of semiconductor test programs/contracts, including the oversight/management of teams/personnel from functional organizations dedicated to meeting technical goals and contract commitments. Defines and executes operational plans and monitors performance to plan to ensure the timely achievement of program objectives. Establishes standards for schedule performance, cost management, technical excellence and customer satisfaction and performs ongoing assessments to determine program status and level of accomplishment. Initiates program corrections as critical deviations are identified. Responsible for field engineering management of all customer sites worldwide with installed semiconductor test systems, and ensures customer expectations and contract commitments are met or exceeded for site equipment availability and technical performance.

Responsibilities include:

Defines program requirements in terms of product design, systems and process management,

project budgets, cost management, resource deployment, technical support, program/project phases, master schedules/project milestones, and all other planning activities for program implementation.

  • Provides leadership, technical oversight and direction to cross-functional teams supporting program requirements. Communicates program parameters, team accountabilities, reporting relationships, master schedules and critical paths for program execution.

  • Conducts and facilitates program reviews to assess cost and schedule performance and ensure the achievement of technical goals and contract commitments. Presents status reports to senior management including any action recommendations requiring further approvals.

  • Actively engaged as a member of the semiconductor business development team to identify and pursue new customers.

  • Collaborates with procurement, engineering, operations and quality assurance in overseeing the selection and contract performance of subcontractors providing technology, key product components and engineering services for assigned programs.

  • Directs technical support staff, including third party field engineers at international locations engaged in preventative maintenance, repairs, retrofit and engineering upgrades for installed systems at validation and virtual factory customer sites.

Supports customer personnel by providing on-going assistance and instructions in the operation of semiconductor test equipment/tools/systems and product applications. Conducts diagnostic tests to identify and resolve equipment hardware, software and applications issues affecting functionality and availability.
 
  • Maintains equipment performance metrics, preventative maintenance statistics, site schedule performance and other field performance data required by the customer, product support organization and senior management for monitoring product fulfillment.

  • Serves as key customer contact on contract performance and customer support for semiconductor test programs.
