As part of the Pharmaceutical Services Group, the Clinical Trials Division (CTD) is a global team of 3500 employees focused the BioPharma / Biotech, Life Sciences, Academic, Government and Research Foundation markets.   CTD is the world’s leader in global clinical supply chain and biosample management. 
 
How will you make an impact?

The Senior Account Manager will showcase an exceptional understanding of the Pharma / Healthcare Industry & Supply Chain.  Primary qualities for success comprise extensive experience with compliance and process of sample distribution, including Front End, Fulfillment & Distribution and Back End using an advanced level of understanding of total supply chain/distribution/logistics concepts and ideas.

  • Account Management & Growth (emerging, mid-tier and enterprise).
  • Strong forecasting and planning to achieve quarterly and annual growth targets.
  • Aligning growth targets with new and existing accounts.
  • Understanding industry trends and their impact to existing and potential business.
  • Cross functional support & collaboration to drive end to end solutions.
  • Utilize your previous Management skills to navigate and thrive within a highly-matrixed environment.
  • Overnight travel 75-100% depending on location.
     
 
 How will you get here?

Minimum Requirements:


 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics and Transportation, Supply Chain Management or similar focus. 
    • MBA is preferred
  • 3+ years work experience in selling or designing Warehousing & Transportation services & solutions
  • Experience in the Life Science and Healthcare industry preferred, ideally with a supply chain & specialty transportation focus on Pharma
  • Experience selling Direct to Representative and Direct to Practitioner sampling services preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct customer facing experience preferred
  • Experience/Knowledge of Prescription Drug Marketing Act (PDMA) preferred
  • Experience/Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Wholesale Distribution Models for Commercial Trade preferred
  • Track record of implementing a sales strategy preferred that focuses on:
    • Account Management & Growth (emerging, mid-tier and enterprise)
    • Strong forecasting and planning to achieve quarterly and annual growth targets
    • Aligning growth targets with new and existing accounts
    • Understanding industry trends and their impact to existing and potential business
    • Cross functional support & collaboration to drive end to end solutions
  • Previous managerial experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of cold chain shipping systems and freight forwarding is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Exceptional understanding of the Pharma industry & supply chain needs strongly preferred
  • Experience with Cold Chain and Specialty Transportation Products is a plus
  • Experience with compliance and process of sample distribution (Front End, Fulfillment & Distribution and Back End)
  • Proven ability to lead a team
  • Excellent knowledge of all available logistics services & distribution products
  • Good business knowledge of the logistics market and the future direction of this market
  • Experience working with supply chain and transportation network modeling tools
  • Business understanding of total supply chain/distribution/logistics concepts and ideas
  • Highly developed analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently while following team goals

  • Good communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work closely together with other functional disciplines
