Job Description
Department Overview The Asset Servicing department is responsible for servicing the assets for over 100 clients and their underlying beneficiaries, these clients are predominately based in the UK \ Ireland and Chanel Islands. These clients are both Retail \ Wealth \ IFA and Institutional Financial Services companies. The department comprises of 60 employees with staff in 3 locations Liverpool \ London and Chennai. The department is split into six sections: Dividends, Market Claims, Middle Office function, Event Processing, Control & Oversight and Event Capture. The Departments responsibilities are to ensure accurate and timely event capture, accurate and timely processing of both Dividends and Corporate Events that affect underlying client accounts ensuring that clients stock and portfolio records are accurately reflected at all times, all market claims are captured and paid in a timely manner, and the timely capture (middle office) of clients elections. The area processes around 12,000 corporate action and 20,000 dividend events per year. All areas cover global corporate actions and this offers exposure to all types of events, markets and asset classes. Role Description • Capture of data from various data providers • Corresponding with clients as necessary via e-mail and phone • Working to tight deadlines (determined by the market) • Analysing data to ensure accurate processing of transactions • Utilising multiple bespoke systems to input and extract data Qualifications Required Skills Must be able to demonstrate experience of the following: Strong Excel skills (to include use of formulas) Must have a high level of attention detail and be able evidence past experience of identifying and correcting errors in a process/procedure Experience of working to short deadlines Highly numerate Excellent organisational skills and ability to managing own deadlines and workloads Financial Services Administration experience Desirable Experience of using non Microsoft systems (including employer bespoke systems) desirable Experience of reconciling data Experience of using workflow systems where diary notes are required Working with customer data BNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
