The Global Batch Services (GBS) Scheduling Department provides Production and Non-Production batch implementations Monday through Friday during business hours utilizing an Automated Workload Scheduler (ESP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application specific job schedule builds, modifications and operational simulations.

  • Consultation services for application support with respect to the build requirements and scheduling flow of the batch cycle.

  • Mainframe and distributed scheduling for targeted test and all production scheduling support across all environments.

  • Unix/Windows/Cloud server agent definition and consultation services.

  • Quarterly audit requirements and attestation (Internal and External).

  • ESP testing and implementation of systemic infrastructure updates and product enhancements.

  • Incident and problem management.

  • DR planning and support.

Senior Application Support Analyst->> Maintains and supports applications and their operating environments. Fields calls and addresses technical problems. Records, documents, and resolves or escalates software application problems as necessary. Follows up and provides feedback to internal/external customers and management. Assists in more complex day-to-day Help Desk functions. Tests changes to applications and their operating environment. Reports and documents any issues. Ensures technology management policies are adhered to, provides technical solutions on application problems. Ensures all productions issues are logged and updated as per department policy. Updates contingency documentation. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.

  • Two to four (2-4) years of experience in applications support or production environment is required.

  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

  • Full Knowledge CA Workload Automation ESP edition: Job Scheduling, Calendar Maintenance, Special Day processing.

  • Knowledge of JCL, COBOL, DB2 and CICS is preferred.

  • Programming Skills with REXX, CLIST, SAS, Python and Splunk is preferred.
