What you'll do

As a Senior Data Business Analyst, you'll be one of our most important leaders within IT and Data Management/Governance within AstraZeneca Operations. The role involves working with partners from all areas of the business and develop key strategic relationships with Business Process Owners as well as top leaders. Further, you will identify ways for IT to contribute to achieving and exceeding business objectives and drive the delivery of creative business solutions to craft maximum competitive advantage. The Senior Business Analyst operates with a high level of interactive communication, with a broad range of partners on all levels, to set clear direction on our Data strategy for others, demonstrating high levels of inclusion and cultural sensitivity. You pursue and explore Data Management/Data Governance opportunities with AstraZeneca peers across the Enterprise and with external partners. The right results will be reached through business analysis on a variety of different system landscapes, interpreting what will be the right future solutions, cooperating and influencing with both different user groups as well as global IT to solution and implement in line with our standards.

You will play a part in defining the roll out of our Data & Analytics strategy and take the lead on setting standards for processes and gather demand/requirements for the Global IT functions that supports Data across Operations. You will ensure that the methodology, quality and compliance standards contribute to internal processes and standards for business analysis and design.

Success in this role will be demonstrated through good communication and presentation skills as well as a high customer focus. As a person, you dare to challenge, influence and negotiate. You will be expected to have a deep practical experience in the role from leading and facilitating change, be confident in business analysis, identifying data activities and setting the strategy for addressing them, and process design in a variety of complex business situations. This should be paired with a solid foundation of general technical knowledge, data lead experience, leadership attitude and Lean thinking practice.

Essential for the role

• Validated experience of Data Strategy creation and implementation.
• Experience of working with complex integrated systems, using creative and critical thinking to deliver extraordinary results.
• Good written documentation skills.
• Experience of working in a regulated environment.
• You will have experience of working with Information Flows and Data Architecture
• Strong engagement, communication and partner management skills
• Experience of leading high levels of risk by making complex judgements.
• Experience of virtual collaboration to lead, shape and develop innovative solutions.
• A passion for data processes and their importance in driving business performance.

Desirable for the role

• Degree in relevant field or formal certification in business analysis practice.
• Design thinking and facilitation skills.
• Lean knowledge
• Experience of working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context.
• SAP Experience (SAP MDM; SAP MDG; SAP ECC)
• Cross industry business awareness/business domain knowledge.
• Team lead (informal or formal)
