JOB PURPOSE

Manage and execute the HR strategy and operations for UK retail. Partnering with key business leaders and COEs to drive business performance through human capital planning.  Through an in-depth understanding of the organisation and people leavers, you will support key decisions across organisation effectiveness, reward and talent, leveraging HR Shared Services and Centres of Excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and deploy a human capital strategy for the UK retail business.  Human strategy development will be done in partnership with the business and HR leadership teams.  The incumbent will be responsible for successful implementation and forward-thinking evolution of the plan.
  • Contribute as an active member of the UK retail leadership team across all human capital aspects of the business strategy and key business decisions.
  • Contribute as an active member of the Burberry Human Resources team to foster collaboration, community and development.
  • Influence key business decision and ensure Burberry values are reflected in our actions and behaviours.
  • Partner with the business and COEs to optimise retail business and individual performance.
  • Lead all aspects of the UK talent agenda including recruitment for key roles, performance management oversight, high potential talent identification and development planning.
  • Build reliable, local succession pipelines that are diverse and relevant, contribute to the development of talent pools outside immediate areas and imaginatively and relentlessly acquire talent through the talent engagement model/process.
  • Drive engagement efforts across the UK retail business with a view to inclusivity and belonging.
PERSONAL PROFILE
  • Extensive HR business partnering experience within UK retail including a strong generalist background.
  • Ideally previous exposure to luxury retail.
  • In depth understanding of HR policies and processes.
  • In depth knowledge of Employment Law.
  • Experience of project and change management.
  • Comfortable in a fast, ever changing environment.
  • Relevant HR Degree (or similar), CIPD preferable.
  • Able to quickly establish credibility and respect and build strong working relationships.
