Job Title\: Senior Solution Engineer, Systems and Engineered Systems

Job Description\:

Senior level Solution Engineer responsible for leading and supporting pre-sales activity for Oracle Systems portfolio. This includes Exadata and other Engineered Systems, Servers, Storage and Private Cloud Solutions. Candidate must have strong knowledge in IT Infrastructure, Systems and Hardware, Oracle Database, Data management solutions, Enterprise Architecture and Cloud Solutions. This is an individual contributor position to work in close collaboration with Oracle Digital Prime Sales team based out of Bengaluru and reporting to a Director and Head of Systems Solution Engineering.

Qualifications`

  • Education\: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
  • Industry Experience\:
  • 8 years experience in Presales / Solution Engineering / IT Architecture, IT Infrastructure
  • Has handled customer relationships and interactions over digital and interactive channels
  • Oracle / Technology Experience\:           
  • Strong knowledge in IT Infrastructure, Systems and Hardware
  • Strong Oracle DB and related technology around security, availability, manageability, performance and scalability experience
  • Good knowledge of Data management, Data architecture, and modern data technologies and industry trends
  • Experience and knowledge of Oracle Infrastructure (Exadata, ExaCC, ZDLRA, SPARC) and Oracle Cloud Technologies
  • Good knowledge of system and application design.
  • Good knowledge of competitors in Databases and enterprise hardware solutions.
  • Ability to lead discovery sessions with customers to uncover pain points
  • Demonstrated ability to map customer business challenges to technical solutions
  • Demonstrated good project management skills.
  • Demonstrated good sales and marketing skills.
  • Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills\: Must be able to articulate the business value of the solution and handle objections effectively.
  • Understanding of various Cloud technologies and ability to differentiate various vendors and solution offerings
  • Good understanding of Servers, OS, Virtualization, storage and modern Infrastructure technologies
  • Good understanding of networking technologies

Core Responsibilities

  • Represent and Lead Oracle Systems engagement as a Solution Engineer in commercial and mid-tier customers
  • Technically Manage accounts throughout the solution engagement process, and collaborates with team members in sales, consulting and support to uncover all customer needs.
  • Responsible for understanding Oracle's product offerings and competitive stack to develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the customers technical requirement
  • Work in close collaboration with Digital Sales team in building the pipe, identify and technically progressing the opportunities and manage the solution and technical closures
  • Own relationships with key customers from a technology perspective and ensure customer success
  • Demonstrate strong Corporate Citizenship by working with Support, Product Management, and other organizations within Oracle.
  • Develop and deliver outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations.
  • Attend and impart appropriate internal and external training as guided by management.
  • Aligning to organizational business priorities and initiatives.

 

!|!Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills\: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.!|!
