Position Description: We are looking for an engineer with a solid background in Customer Scenario testing (A.K.A. data modeling, or workload modeling) for a leadership position in Lenovo’s DCG Product Assurance team. The role will require broad knowledge of server / server technologies to model and recreate customer workloads in efforts to validate new Lenovo servers. The role requires experience with SW tools such as LXCA, UXSP, ONECLI, or similar industry tools, networking, storage, server OS’s, and systems firmware (UEFI / Systems management).  This role will work closely with both the development, product assurance teams, as well as customers to recreate realistic data workloads. Responsibilities will include creating test plans, test cases, and developing validation methods to accomplish these goals. Applicants must have a strong background in several of the following skills: software testing, setting up networks / SAN storage, virtualization, server OS’s, functional validation, error injection, systems management, and security testing, . The role requires the ability to apply this knowledge to develop effective and efficient test plans, and test cases to ensure a quality product release. The candidate needs experience leading a team, directing daily activities, identifying and resolving blocking issues with the development teams.
