Job Description

As a Partner of Choice, the Global Business Services (GBS) in Portugal shapes the Shared Services landscape of the future by providing smart and digital end-to-end solutions to over 100 Siemens entities across the world, in around 20 different languages.

Join our GBS team as Service Operations Manager for Digital Industries business and help us provide valuable and outstanding business services to our customers! Our Opportunity-to-Cash business line provides a variety of transactional and digital services - from lead generation to the collection of incoming payments. We also provide services related to Quotation, Offer and Contract Management, Order Management & Logistics, Cash management, and much more!

What role will you play?

  • Implements defined superior policies and guidelines, and defines and ensures implementation of function specific processes, procedures, methods and/or tools.
  • Ensures the delivery of services on an operational level with respect to process adherence, service quality, and profitability.
  • Implements workforce development measures.
  • Acts a primary escalation contact to customers and resolves issues with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Supervises/conducts the negotiation of and adherence to Service Level Agreements
  • Supports yearly budget execution with relevant information about the respective service unit
  • Supports in developing service leads.
  • Ensures obeying regional laws and regulations.
  • Manages organization unit(s) assigned and leads and/or coordinates dedicated management and staff.

Does this sound Good? Our perfect candidate must have…

  • Previous experience of end-to-end O2C processes, such as Order mgmt. credit control, cash collection or accounts receivable processes is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Proficiency in English
  • Additional foreigner language (e.g. French, Spanish, Italian) will be a plus
  • SAP knowledge (Module MM/FI and SD, others will be a plus)
  • Finance, Business Analysis, Cost Accounting                    
  • Leadership & coaching skills
  • Service Attitude and Customer Oriented
  • Strong communication skills (both orally and writing)
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Strong work ethic - we are always acting in name of Siemens
  • Problem solving and fast thinking will help to resolve daily management issues
