with social media knowledge to join the Media Relations and Newsdesk team at IKEA Range and Supply for a one year assignment.

IKEA Range & Supply has the responsibility to develop, design, produce and supply IKEA retail channels with home furnishing solutions available to the many people. 
Each year IKEA Range & Supply introduces 2,000 new products in the 424 IKEA stores and other multichannel touchpoints around the world. The total range is almost 10,000 products. 
So what happens in Älmhult definitely doesn't stay in Älmhult. It reaches practically every corner of the globe.

Job Description

We are looking for a Social media specialist to work with IKEA Today social media channels. As a person you are creative, possess up-to-date 
knowledge of the complete social media landscape and can turn your knowledge into creative ideas as well as produce social media content that sparks interests, 
creates engagement and dialogue among our social media followers. 

The Social Media specialist will, together with Press Officers, Editorial writers and other relevant stakeholders identify and produce content for IKEA Today. In the role you are responsible for content creation, supporting with content planning and strategy implementation. Experience from working with photography, video editing, Adobe suite/InDesign/Photoshop) and WordPress is a merit.

In the Social Media Specialist assignment you will be responsible for;

  • Supporting the team in creating social media plans and ideating around content and ways of creating interest/engagement/interaction with followers.
  • Creating new and/or adapting existing content to fit for social media and purpose.
  •  Developing, creating, implementing and optimising content across all relevant social media channels in order to create interest/engagement/interactions and increase our social following.
  • Support in creating copy that is suitable in our channels and its audiences
  • Developing the social media content calendar in consultation with relevant stakeholders whilst managing multiple projects and competing deadlines
  • Stay up-to-date with the social media landscape including social media policies and relevant regulatory updates and changes in order to ensure the most effective use of content and approaches for IKEA
  • Supporting crisis and risk management from a social media perspective

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is supercreative, curious, passionate as well as knowledgeable in social media and with the skill to identify 
and produce engaging content for IKEA Today, our global channel where IKEA shares behind the scenes stories from design and product development. 
With a minimum of two years’ experience in a social media role, you will have a creative mind-set and the ability to think outside the box. 

Your English is excellent and you have collaborative and prestige less approach in projects and assignments. You know your way around with social media 
tools and enjoy every part of working with social media, from identifying and planning to producing and publishing.
