Software Development Engineer 2 - SWQA

 

Job Location:  Shanghai

Department:  Semi-Custom SW Engineering

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure system software (BIOS, Driver & Firmware, etc.) to be tested properly and delivered to customer and internal engineering teams on time.
• Develop manual and automated test suites to ensure compliance to product specification and adequate test coverage.
• Execute test plans, analyze test results and drive issues to closure.
• Work closely with product development teams to understand product requirements and provide feedback on the architecture and designs.
• Identify and Investigate defects, provide diagnostic support to customers and internal engineering teams.

 

REQUIREMENTS

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. In EE or CS or equivalent is required
• Good written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English

 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Basic understanding of software quality assurance and testing methodologies and be able to think independently and solve complex problems.
• Knowledge of PC products (CPU/GPU/APU, motherboard…) and peripherals (DIMM, Hard Disk, Monitor, SD, SATA, USB….).
• Work experience (as an intern) on x86 desktop/laptop BIOS QA and/or graphics driver (display, 3D, multi-media, performance, etc.) QA is a big plus
• Proficient in scripting languages (Perl, Python, etc.).
• Systems administration experience in Linux and Windows environment is a plus.
• Quick learning and self-motivated.
• Good team player and willing to work overtime and under pressure.
