The Azure SDK team is hiring an experienced Go developer to help us build and deliver solutions for developers who are writing applications that leverage the vast array of Azure services. 

Responsibilities

As an engineer on the Azure Go SDK team, your focus would be on ensuring that developers around the world have an awesome experience when leveraging Azure services in their applications. You will be responsible for designing API’s that have a natural look and feel for Go and work with an engineering team to make sure we can deliver high quality customer value at a fast cadence. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our libraries have Cloud native best practices built in and are consistent across all Azure services. You will partner with experts in many languages to develop a consistent approach to how developers leverage Azure. As part of consistency, you will also ensure that the Azure SDK takes advantage of the right community libraries to ensure a rich experience as well as ensuring all of the SDK libraries version gracefully with the Azure Services and the Go ecosystem. This whole effort will be done as an Open Source project where we will deliver world class libraries and contribute to other ecosystems to deliver rock solid end to end experiences. 

 

Specific job responsibilities include: 

  • Deliver a best in class Cloud native development platform for Azure
  • Build relationships with Azure service owners as well as the open source project community fostering a healthy technical community and collect and prioritize product feedback and technical blockers
  • Use data, experiments, and customer feedback to drive growth

Qualifications

 Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in software development using Go

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid communication skills 
  • Passion for helping developers connect people and communities through the cloud
  • Proven experience working with 3rd party communities and open source projects
