Position Description: We are looking for an engineer with a solid background in enterprise level server / datacenter software testing for a leadership position in Lenovo’s Server Product Assurance team. The role will require experience with SW tools such as LXCA, UXSP, ONECLI, or similar industry tools. This role will work closely with both the development and Product Assurance teams in order to lead PA efforts in validation of Lenovo server SW tools on new ThinkSystem servers. Responsibilities will include creating test plans, test cases, and developing validation methods to accomplish these goals. Applicants must have a strong background in SW testing, functional validation, error injection, negative path testing, systems management, security testing, . The role requires the ability to apply this knowledge to develop effective and efficient test plans, and test cases to ensure a quality product release. The candidate needs experience leading a team, directing daily activities, identifying and resolving blocking issues with the development teams. Job responsibilities: • Provide validation leadership for Product Assurance validation efforts • Research and understand new SW and SW functions • Develop test plans, test processes and test cases • Work cross-team within PA and with Development to ensure efficiency and quality • Training of new team members • Identify automation opportunities and drive automation development activities • Advocate for develop-for-test requirements within the development teams • Gather / present status #### Position Requirements: Skills / Qualifications: • Fluent English is required (Mandarin is also a plus) • 5+ years’ experience in Development or testing of enterprise level SW / SW features • OS Enablement, OS Certification testing for server OS’s (Windows, VMWare, RedHat, SuSE) • Experience with Systems management SW (Lenovo xClarity, HP Openview, etc) or Server level tools (OneCLI, IPMI tool, UXSP, Bootable Media Creator, etc) • Understanding of PA, development, unit test, and BBFV processes • Understanding of server hardware and architecture including systems management, UEFI, OS’s, and networking • Proven track record of successful cross-team, group collaboration to drive necessary processes and ensure product quality and customer satisfaction • Strong technical & process development skills, with a clear ability/desire to go deep technically when needed We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any federal, state, or local protected class.
