Data Management and Quantitative Analysis – The role of a VP in the Specialty Analytics Unit is to review client requests, analyze legal documentation, and build models to evaluate bespoke financial products.  A successful candidate is willing to take it upon themselves to understand the relevant financial products assigned and is able to analyze which methodology/approach/instrument best supports clients’ needs as well as fulfilling the contractual obligations. The candidate is expected to utilize Excel and macro development to extract data in order to populate models.  Programs automated solutions, tools, and processes with VBA.  Translates complex technical concepts and analyses to non-technical audiences.  Interprets findings, prepares standard and ad-hoc reports and delivers results to management and/or other leaders.  Provides recommendations for addressing observed outcomes.  Communicates requirements and issues clearly to clients and stakeholders.  Reviews accuracy of reports and calculations performed by less experienced colleagues.  No direct reports.  Primarily responsible for the accuracy and quality of own work and the work of assigned project team members.  Work contributes to the achievement of team goals.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree in quantitative analysis preferred. 7-10 years experience preferred. Experience in quantitative finance and technology preferred.
