The Senior Cloud Database Administrator should have exceptional skills to manage our databases we have in the cloud and on premise. This role will be part of our Global ITIO team supporting

In this role, you will…

• Manage databases in cloud environments such as Amazon.(PostgreSQL, RDS).
• Conduct "Health check" of the database regularly.
• Troubleshoot and support existing database processes; deliver fixes and optimizations where appropriate.
• Analyze, tune and document schema and queries to match application requirements.
• Monitor for database, ETL job exceptions.
• Develop backup procedures for daily execution by IT/DevOps.
• Develop archiving scripts to prune live data.
• Support user’s requests in relation to system problems and requests for enhancements.
• Establish and uphold performance metrics for the system as whole and key business applications in particular.
• Communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.
• Work across teams in a matrixed environment.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Will work with developers to design and build new structures to support application enhancements and promote database changes throughout the Dev, UAT and Prod databases.
• Required to be available to perform periodic after-hours support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

In this role, you’ll need …

• 10 years’ experience as a DBA in a fast paced, high growth, technology and intensive environment.
• 5  years’ experience in PostgreSQL SQL DB or Microsoft SQL Server
• 2+ years of experience with Amazon cloud managed RDS  and tools such as Data Migration services
• Some experience with NoSQL technologies like DynamoDB , Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra or Riak
• Experience with database performance tuning.
• Experience with ETL.
• Database server, storage & network systems lifecycle administration.
• Database clustering architecture & administration
• Scripting alerts and controls for DB system monitoring agents
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
