Operational Risk Management - M4 Manages an Operational Risk Management unit consisting of multiple teams. Responsible for the financial and human resources for the unit and ensures assigned teams are operating effectively to meet unit goals and objectives. Executes business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategy. Responsible for ensuring integration of the functions activities within the risk management efforts of the organization. Oversees audits of complex business processes for multiple units to ensure compliance with set processes. Reviews key risk indicators to ensure business is conducting operations within an acceptable risk tolerance. Uses advanced knowledge of BNY Mellon business processes to provide solutions for complex risk issues affecting areas of the business. Works with LOB leaders and Risk Management function to investigate the root cause of errors affecting multiple units, identify the error or gap in set processes, and lead development of control enhancements. Identifies and evaluates business, industry, and regulatory environment to identify potential gaps in operational risk management processes affecting a large portion of the business operations. Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Manages multiple teams of Operational Risk Management professionals. Responsible for the achievement of area goals and objectives, talent management and supervision of multiple teams. Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 10-15 years of experience in risk management, operations, or related areas and 3-5 years of management experience preferred.
