How will you make an impact? 


The Sr. R&D Project Manager-Master Planner/.Scheduler will manage all aspects of scheduling in a fast paced analytical development laboratory. The role will involbe coordinating with project managers, scientists, and various vendors to help meet timelines and commitments set for projects. With a passion for organization, systematic approaches to work, and a desire for excellence in results you will help support both internal and external customers along the journey to developing life saving medications for our patients. 

What will you do? 

· Create and maintain departmental scheduling of projects within ChangePoint, micro-tool, including project task and sub-task lists, timelines, templates.

· Standardize project task/sub-task work hours and scheduling across the department.

· Establish standard project reporting procedures for management

· Ensure monthly updates are performed by necessary personnel to reflect accurate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with            respect to project deliverables, timelines, billing and revenue planning. Coordination with Project Managers, Analytical Leads
  and Departmental Supervision is essential.

· Troubleshoot project system problems as related to project, customer, or analyst issues.

· Provide data necessary to build and maintain Departmental Electronic Database when implemented.

· Work within the current and future lab systems to integrate a cohesive view of scheduling for: Lab activities, training activities, instrument utilization, and review activities.

· Integrate and adopt best practices in capacity modeling related to data inputs for accurate forecasting.

· Train personnel on project system use and functionality to ensure consistent project templates, timeline, and scheduling assumptions.

· Participate in continuous improvement activities to innovate towards best scheduling practices

How will you get here? 

Education

· Bachelor’s degree in either a scientific or production-related field is required.

Experience

· Seven years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred OR Masters in either a scientific or production-related field, plus 5 year relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry OR Ph.D in either a scientific or production-related field, plus 3 year relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry

· Experience with Visual Basic programming, Microsoft Project, Scheduling tools including Gantt charts.

· Familiar with Project Management skills

· Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices
