The OCI Cloud Operations team is responsible for the following\: 

•     A dedicated OCI Cloud team responsible for the operational delivery of Oracle Cloud Operate organization in cooperation with Enterprise IT, R&D, Dev/QA, and Demo teams for standards and build-lifecycle.
•     Leverage existing OCI teams for Project Management, Business Operations, and Architecture
•     Construct a highly scalable organization that can effectively absorb additional M&A transactions and new product operations
•     Organize around core disciplines including SaaS and PaaS Operations, Security & Regulatory Compliance, Infrastructure Operations (Server, Storage, Network, and Platform Services), Architecture, M&A Integration, Cloud Tooling, Customer / Partner Management. 

Responsibilities\:

• ·         Build and Deploy Platform level infrastructure to support the OPC (Oracle public cloud) application tiers under OCI umbrella.
• ·         Participate in documentation and SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) creation by following Oracle Standards and Best Practice methods.
• ·         Support and Maintain the Server Engineering Infrastructure.
• ·         Work with new Cloud Portfolio Services supporting integration activity. 
•           Actively participate in Change management and Incident management process.               
• ·         Participate with cross-functional team for major deployments and patching activity.
• ·         Configure and tune system and network parameters for optimum performance.
• ·         Automate regular tasks through scripts Perl/Shell etc.
•           Participate in Project meeting, Scrum portfolio tasks to work in implementation and configuration of DevOps based environment.
• ·         Monitor system stability and performance.
• ·         Help develop tools to build, maintain, and monitor systems.
• ·         Ensure 24x7x365 operation. Should flexible to work in weekends and shifts if required.
• ·         Participate in Change Mgmt. and System Maintenance. 

Requirements\:

• ·         8 years as a Linux/Cloud administrator
• ·         3 years as a Sr. Unix/Linux administrator; worked mainly in DevOps environment such as ansible, Kubernet, Chef & Puppet.
• ·         Most recently worked with OEL/CentOS or OCI and AWS or google cloud; must have deep knowledge of these environments, and be able to work independently on anyone of them.
• ·         Deep expertise in Unix/Linux systems administration of MTAs, web servers, load balancers and have through understanding and experience of DNS,SMTP and network and host security, and relevant protocols (SMTP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, NFS) mgmt. and configuration.
• ·         Experience in owning and driving projects independently.
• ·         Mid to senior level programming/scripting in at least two languages (one any kind of shell or Python).
• ·         Solid grasp of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
• ·         Multiple years of experience in fast-paced high-availability production environments (e.g. ISPs, ASPs, SaaS, etc.) with an emphasis on remote "lights-out" management of systems. A sense of urgency (but not panic) is key.
• ·         Outstanding troubleshooting ability.
• ·         Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills.
