As a Technical Sales Support Specialist, ABB’s Electrification business is a leading provider of a full range of protection, control and measurement solutions - enabling safer and smarter electricity flow from substation to the point of consumption. We deliver products and systems designed to connect, protect and control electrical systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency and safety for equipment and personnel.   You will be the technical point person for the Sales organization in Sales & Marketing Unit China Product Group/ EL Marketing and Sales Business Line/ Electrification Business in Beijing, Tianjin and Shijiazhuang/China country/NAS region. Reporting to the Sales Support Manager, you will create, and complete bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget in order to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin for the Company. Maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers that are present in the area of responsibility.

Your responsibilities

  • Established and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer’s needs. - Ensure a positive customer experiences throughout the sales process.
  • Formulate competitive bids/estimates/quotations, taking into account best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation. Ensure tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of details, including full and accurate costs.
  • In accordance with bid/estimate/quotation planning, ensures that inputs for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures.
  • Identify potential risks in the bids, quotations and estimates and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels. Provides information and/or participates in the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy.
  • Responsible for collecting and collating all information needed to prepare the proposal, including both technical and cost elements.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
  • 5+ years of related experiences are preferred and prior technical training or presentation experience
  • Very good knowledge and understanding of EPDS product.
  • Proficient PC skills, good command of Microsoft Office.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
