The Technical Support Specialist – Body Electronics is responsible for providing specialized guidance and technical support to every BMW centers, MINI and BMW Motorrad dealers located in the US for Standard and TeileClearing cases regarding Body Electrical systems and its components plus Canada for specific TC actions as required.

The objective of the Technical Support Specialist – Body Electronics is not just to assist and improve diagnosis, it is also to ensures that every BMW center, MINI and BMW Motorrad dealer can provide our customers with the highest repair quality on their vehicles and motorcycles to get fixed right the first time. Guidance is provided by the Technical Specialist so that proper repairs are carried out in the vehicles and the necessary data for Development and Engineering is provided as requested in order to improve product quality and reduce warranty expenses.

While utilizing the Technical Hotline Support System (TSARA) system to review the online cases submitted, the incumbent will also review all internal information and systems, such as: ISTA, FASTA, TIS, Current Issues library, Service Information Bulletins, Warranty History, etc. in order to reply and follow up adequately and professionally.

The Specialist will maintain open communication and gather feedback from Technical Support Engineers and Product Engineers as required in order to expedite vehicles diagnosis/repair, advise of new product issues and trends, and also attend additional advanced technical training.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent Technical Support experience with BMW, MINI vehicles and/or BMW Motorrad products.
  • 3+ years in technical training and working experience for BMW and MINI vehicles.
  • BMW Motorrad training and working experience is a plus.
  • Complete ASE certification as per BMW training guidelines based on technician training level.
  • Blitz 3 or High Voltage certification is strongly desired.
