Then come and join our global team as Technology Expert / Software Developer (m/w/d) Machine Learning to apply cutting-edge machine learning techniques in healthcare and advance imaging and image-guided therapy in interventional radiology.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You analyze clinical requirements, explore technological trends and apply cutting-edge machine learning techniques to advance medical imaging and image-guided therapy in interventional radiology
  • You develop prototypes, collect feedback and are responsible for the translation into product components with real-world and real-time performance
  • You are responsible for software specification, efficient implementation, and system integration. You perform in-depth analysis and optimization and apply your experience in deploying real-time inference run-times on GPU architectures
  • You proactively contribute to the software design and architecture and are responsible for the quality of the product throughout its lifecycle
  • You work in an agile, cross-functional, and international development team and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders from research & development, product management, innovations and user experience

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You hold a (PhD or Master) in Computer Science or a related field
  • You have many years professional experience and proven scientific track record
  • You have expertise in machine learning and deep learning as well experience in applying state-of-the-art methods to computer vision and image analysis. You are familiar with Python programming and have practical experience with at least one major deep learning framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, TensorRT
  • You have experience in software development for real-time systems and developing highly efficient product code in C++, making use of high algorithmic parallelism offered by GPGPU computing (CUDA/OpenCL)
  • Having a professional track record in the domain of healthcare and medical image processing or a comparable regulated environment (such as automotive) is a plus

  • You are passionate about the potentials of artificial intelligence and machine learning healthcare and medical imaging and show initiative and creativity to challenge the status quo
  • As a lifelong learner, you are eager to learn new skills and grow. Staying up to date with the latest developments in the artificial intelligence and machine learning communities feels natural to you
  • You have a positive attitude towards team-oriented working in a cross-functional agile environment and actively add to the outstanding team spirit. Intercultural experience in the collaboration of international teams is a plus
  • You have strong organization skills, a structured and methodical working style with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management, task prioritization skills, high personal quality standards and focus on results
  • You have very good communication skills (written and verbal) in English and provide high quality visual representations of results. Speaking German is a plus
