How can you help us craft the future as a Gearbox Tester?

We are looking for the very best candidates who are dedicated to working safely, yet efficiently, and can work on many production orders at once! You will assist in the final testing of wind turbine power transmissions and their subassemblies!

What are the responsibilities?

• Verifies units to parts lists, assembly/test card, assembly/test protocols Assembles fixtures to unit and installs on test stand.
• Connects and wires sensors, motors, and probes per the test criteria. Reports failures when noticed
• Checks units for cleanliness and visually inspects for defects.
• Operates test stand, assists in the monitoring, testing and removing of units during test. Requests guidance when needed.
• Inspects units for oil leaks during test.
• Drains oil from test unit after test.
• Removes units from test stand and takes off fixtures.
• Fills unit with oil and assists in after test inspection per the criteria set forth.
• Performs after test assembly of shrink disc, oil pans, and coolers.
• Enters information in the eMPP stations.
• Works along with representatives of other functional groups to include Assembly, Service, or others to communicate the findings on the unit.

What knowledge/skills, education, and experience is required for this position?

• Minimum of a High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• 1+ year in production environment and testing environment
• Demonstration of sound mechanical aptitude
