Compliance Technology is building a sophisticated next generation surveillance solution on top of a distributed data
platform. Pune (India) and Belfast (United Kingdom) are the global hubs for the creation of feature-based surveillance algorithms using cutting edge technologies and techniques.

The global Trade Surveillance Technology team at Citi has an increased book of work that requires additional business lines, countries, and more sophisticated surveillance methods to be delivered using our strategic platforms. These platforms allow users to monitor trading activity across multiple asset classes and information barriers, on real time, end of day, and historic lookup bases for indications of potential Market Abuse, Insider Dealing, and other types of fraud.  The volume and variety of data involved in these surveillances and the complexity of the algorithms results in one of most challenging and appropriate use cases for big data technologies.

As we further expand global coverage and deliver more sophisticated Behavioral Analytics based solutions, we are seeking a Testing Sr Analyst to join the team in Pune.

Key Responsibilities:

The role will include, but not limited to the following-

• Work closely with the key stakeholders to understand business & functional requirements to design and implement appropriate plans for testing strategy/approach.
• Follow standard testing methodologies – develop Test Plan & test cases, conduct Tests, identify defects & discrepancies, report defects and retest fixes.
• Perform hands on testing while ensuring testing meets or exceed defined standards and criteria.
• Identify discrepancies, report defects utilizing the internal tracking application, communicate with the development team and track them to resolution.
• Ensures testing standards and procedures exist are followed throughout SDLC.
• Coordinate multiple testers and testing activities within the project.
• Work closely with QA Manager to and contribute in identifying and recommending process improvements to enhance quality deliverables.
• Sound understanding of QA metrics - ensuring all corrective actions are assigned, documented and completed.
• Acts as advisor and mentor for the junior members in the QA Team.
• Contribute towards building a robust, scalable and high quality test automation solution for functional and regression testing.

Criteria/Qualifications

• 8+ years of test analyst experience.

• Strong knowledge of Testing lifecycle & methodologies with a solid understanding of how it fits in SDLC.
• Strong SQL skills, be able to create complex SQL queries and analyse results.
• Knowledge on Big Data technologies
• Hands on experience in automation testing framework & tools, e.g, Selenium, REST, etc.
• ISTQB/ISEB or equivalent certification.

Knowledge/Experience:

• Strong background & working experience on functional and/or non-functional testing for enterprise applications following waterfall & agile style projects.
• Understanding of financial market concepts & Trade Lifecycle.
• Exposure to defect tracking systems (JIRA, ALM, etc.) and testing life cycles.
• Experience in writing test artefacts – Test Plans, Test cases, Test reports, etc
• Prior experience in working with remote teams.
• Experience on testing Big Data applications is preferable
