Vice President, Third Party Governance – Oversight and Administration Ongoing Monitoring and Reporting

Job Description

The Third Party Governance (TPG), Oversight and Administration (OA) team acts as the direct line of contact with the Business and oversees the development and execution of Ongoing Monitoring (OM) of our Third Party vendors.  The Vice President will report to the OM Process and Reporting Lead in the Wilmington, Delaware office.  As part of the OM and Reporting team, this person will work to develop and enhance the firm’s OM processes, and support the quality execution of our OM activities.  This role may have direct reports.

  Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Process Development:
  • Develop thorough understanding of the business needs and goals that guide the BNY Mellon TPG organization
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and relevant stakeholders to identify and document OM process improvement opportunities
  • Maintain OM process inventory by managing updates and enhancements, including change control and process/procedure documentation according to TPG Standard Methodology
  Reporting:
  • Work with the TPG Data team to provide requirements and develop dashboards and operational reports for OM
  • Oversee execution of daily OM status reporting
  Project Management/Administrative:
  • Develop and manage project plans for various OA projects, including standard OM cycle deliverables, as well as other ad hoc projects
  • Establish and report on status and metrics of assigned projects and processes to ensure alignment and progress towards business goals
  • Enhance and maintain internal team SharePoint site, as well as external facing stakeholder sites

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline is preferred.  5-7 years of total work experience preferred.


Additional preferred qualifications include: 

  • Experience working in Third Party/Vendor Risk Management, Governance, Procurement, or Regulatory Compliance is preferred
  • Experience with defining meaningful reporting and working with various data sets and tools (SharePoint, Excel, Access Databases etc.) is required
  • Strong process development, improvement and documentation skills
  • Demonstrated experience with managing projects, including project plan development and on-time delivery
  • Exceptional level of attention to detail and ability to execute high quality work products
  • Self-starter and ability to multi-task while performing a variety of complex tasks
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with other departments
